So you know the mustang’s 5.0 badge? It was like that, but 3.7. I’m not shitting on V6 muscle cars, I’d gladly take a V6 Camaro. But that’d be like putting a ‘Non-V-TECH’ badge on my Integra lol.

Eww...a non-vtec Integra. Gross.

Also see the stick-on C pillar intake.

Oh yeah. I’ve seen that around. Always makes me question the owner’s sanity.

Also some people put them on turbo 5.0s as a joke too.

both of my cars have a 2.5 badge on them, letting the world know I have the smallest engine :]

There’s a buy-here-pay-here near my house that has an older one with the 4.0 badge on it which might be even worse since that engine is nothing like the 3.7, and quite frankly, sucks.

At least the displacement is correct, right?

Aren’t those turbo now though?

Well not this dude, he was driving like a maniac and wasn’t going that fast.

1.8! But no badges, so no one knows how much I’m compensating :(

no, the 2.3 is the turbo

not an intake, window louver, and louvers make everything better

This was last gen too, the one pictured.

I say: so what?
The 3.7 is actually a decent engine, it’s not like the old non-turbo 2.3 or 3.8 Essex. It’s not like they’re putting 5.0 stickers on a 3.7. It’s not like they’re bragging about turbos or superchargers or nitrous when they don’t have it.
As far as stick on mods go, this is the least offensive.

I have no complaints. It’s the fastest car I’ve owned lol.

I’m still jelly though. Nice teg.

I saw an Boostang with the 2.3 badge on the fender just last week! I’m ok with it as long as it’s not a fake 5.0 badge or something. I always thought Ford should have put some special marking on the Fender for the EB.

The Turbos are 2.3L i believe. Mustang has 3 engines, 300 hp 4 banger turbo, this 305(? i think?) hp V6 and the 400+ hp 5.0 V8.

I mean....its pretty silly, but its not like those are slow. Back in my day V6 mustang meant silly slow mustang. But now they’re 300+ horsepower and hit sixty in under six seconds. They also have better weight distribution than their V8 siblings.
Don’t get me wrong, i’d never own one because...i mean...come on. But still, i can’t shit all over V6 mustangs like I could when i was younger.

Why assume it’s displacement and not Confirmed Kills? Three dead, one in a wheelchair.

A guy in my E60/E61 FB group has a 535d which says 518d on the back.

They should’ve made a performance package called the SVO :(

I’m not shitting on V6 muscle cars at (said that in the post lol) It’s just funny advertising you have the arguably worst engine.

Yeah, its pretty silly. I’m more offended by the fake scoops though. What are they feeding? (answer: his rear windows) At least his car actually has a 3.7 in it. And putting that 3.7 badge didn’t destroy his only access to seeing whats in his blind spot. We’re just so used to dumb mustang owners putting them on their cars that we ignore them.
But i get where you’re coming from. It’s advertising that he doesn’t have a 5.0. Then again, you’ll see challengers with “R/T” plastered all over them basically proclaiming that the owner didn’t jump for the SRT-8 with the 6.4L engine, and really really didn’t jump for the Hellcat.
In conclusion: Muscle car owners who don’t buy the biggest engine are silly.

Ironically, I saw an Infiniti this morning with 3.7 badging on the side and thought to myself “I know there’s no replacement for displacement, but why do we now live in a world where everything has to have multiple badges proclaiming the car’s sub-4.0 displacement? Who goes ‘Yeah, baby, I’ve got a sweet 3.7 in this.’ I mean, that’s not bad for a V6, but who cares?”
I tend to have lots of inner dialogues about car things on my commute, but I only post the shittiest ones on Oppo.

I saw an older one in a Royal Farms parking lot last week with a “4.0" badge on the fender - from when the V6 was a genuine boat anchor.
